Wild Hearts Forest School

Let your young adventurers escape to the enchanting Townsend Wood to discover all that nature has to offer. These regular Forest School sessions will allow your child the opportunity to navigate their own learning in a natural environment. It will build their confidence, independence, resilience, decision making and communication skills with access to the supportive guidance of a qualified Forest School practitioner, as well as a wide range of equipment.

Explorative investigations- observing and tracking wildlife
Tool work- making woodland crafts from sustainable materials
Den building- learning about knots and structures
Fire lighting- learning about fire safety and how to start fires
Campfire cooking- preparing and cooking nutritious food
Storytelling- reading stories around the campfire or creating our own
Team building and adventure games- developing our senses, strategies and communication skills
